Lokayukta cops serve notice to 18 MUDA officers

Mysuru: Lokayukta Police issued a notice to 18 Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Officials in response to a complaint filed by RTI activist Gangaraju.
In 2017, Gangaraju had filed a complaint with the Lokayukta regarding irregularities in the allotment of land in Survey Number 89, Hinkal, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, covering an area of 7 acres and 18 guntas. The land, originally meant for distribution to the poor by the Hinkal Gram Panchayat, was allegedly allocated to various government employees instead.
Following the complaint, the Lokayukta sought permission to register an FIR in 2022. Now, notices have been served to the MUDA Superintending Engineer and other officials who were in service during the time of the alleged incident.
