Lockdown extended from June 14 to June 21! Don’t gather in five, abide by rules in place: Police Commissioner

Mysuru: As the State Government has extended lockdown in 11 districts including Mysuru where the total positivity rate is still above worrying levels, from June 14 to 21, the city police have issued a set of norms to be followed.

According to a notification from police Commissioner’s office, ” there is no relaxation in the prevailing norms. Barring shops selling essential commodities, fruits and vegetables allowed to open from 6 am to 10 am, the other shops are not permitted to open. The people should visit the shops in only permitted hours and the people should visit shops near their home.”

If any other shops are found open, action will be initiated under disaster management Act and will be closed and recommended for cancelling the trade licence.

The city police are inspecting vehicles at various places. If anybody is found moving unnecessarily, the police will seize such vehicles and file a case.

Not more than five are allowed to gather in groups. A minimum of six feet distance should be maintained and mask should be worn in public places, the notification added.
