Lock up KPSC! AAP protests massive corruption in jobs across State

2 min read

Mysuru: Alleging that government jobs in Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) are going to corrupt people, volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Mysuru unit staged protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city on Wednesday.

Not just in Mysuru but throughout the state, in many district headquarters, AAP volunteers voiced similar protest and in Bengaluru they even made a bid to lock up KPSC office.

Leading the protest in Mysuru, AAP district President Malavika Gubbivani said “KPSC is known as the den of corruption and all governments have only spoken about bringing the KPSC into right track, but have not taken any corrective steps. The appointment of corrupt people like Sham Bhat in itself was a disastrous step and our volunteers who protested in front of Raj Bhavan against this are still facing court cases”, she said.

“The time is right for all of us to unite and protest on behalf of three crore youths of this state and against the governments which have so far ruled the state. On one hand the youth are not getting the jobs as per their educational qualifications and on the other, the corrupt are cornering the scarce government jobs and thus ruling BJP is doing injustice to the youths of the state” said Malavika.

“KPSC was formed with a noble cause to provide jobs to the youths of this state, but this has become a market to sell jobs to swindle crores of rupees for the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. The question is do people of Karnataka need such establishments?

AAP has launched this campaign to “lock up KPSC” and thus save the government jobs. It is our effort to reach this demand to the deaf ears of the government” she said.

AAP leaders Dharmashree, Renuka Prasad, Irfan Baig, Ravichandra, Deepak, Usha Sampathkumar, Mahadevi, Dr Jeevan, Natraj, Rajamma, Durgapa, Shivakumar, Rangaiah and others were present, stated Aam Aadmi Party, Mysuru, Media Coordinator G R Vidyaranya.
