Local bodies elections! Results show wave in favour of Congress, says Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru: Following the results of urban local body elections in the State, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah on Thursday claimed that the wave is in favour of Congress party.
Expressing his happiness over Congress winning more seats, Siddaramaiah alleged that “the people are fed up of BJP government in the State, which is mired in corruption and has failed to arrest inflation. The government has taken a backseat even in development works.”
Of the 577 town panchayat wards, Congress has won in 236, BJP 194, independents- 135 and JDS-12.
While in the town municipal council elections, of the total 441 wards-Congress won 201, BJP-176, JDS- 21
