Liquor shops reopened! KPCC women’s president to file PIL against State government

1 min read

Mysuru: KPCC Women’s Wing President Pushapa Amarnath has said that she will file a PIL against the state government for reopening liquor outlets as it has disturbed peace in poor and middle class families.

Addressing the media here on Saturday, she said that the government relaxed lockdown and opened liquor outlets. This is not a fair decision to boost economy at the cost of poor families’ peace, she argued.

She alleged that the government did not distribute PPE kits to the Corona Warriors and didn’t announce any bonus to them too. This is discouraging, she added.

She said she would call upon district incharge minister S T Somashekhar and MP Pratap Simha to provide PPE kits to frontline workers and reduce fuel price.

Pushpa Amarnath and other Congress women leaders staged a protest against the government by wearing black masks in front of the party office on JLB Road.
