Leopard trapped in cage at Belavadi; released in Bandipur later

Mysuru: Amid the spurt in cases of leopard attacks in Mysuru that also claimed a life recently, a leopard was trapped in a cage on Friday.
A six to seven year old male leopard was trapped in a cage near Dechen Resins unit at Belavadi industrial Area in Yelwala on the outskirts of Mysuru.
RFO Surendra K visited the spot and shifted the leopard to Bandipur National Tiger Reserve Forest and released the animal later.
Recently at T Narasipura taluk a youth was killed in a suspected leopard attack, while a two- wheeler rider was injured in leopard attack at a broad daylight in KR Nagar town in the district.
