Leopard caught, released into Bandipur forest

Mysuru: A leopard has been caught in Konagahalli in T Narsipur on September 6.

The male leopard is about two-and-a-half years old and fell into a cage kept by the forest department.

Following the complaints of leopard frequently spotted in Konagahalli and surrounding villages, the cages were kept at Talkad, Kupya and Kempaiahanahundi villages too.

Finally, the leopard was caught in the cage in Konagahalli. The animal was later released into Moolehole range of Bandipur forest.

RFO Girish, DRFO M S Umesh, Forest guard Chetan and other personnel visited the village.
