Legends Premier League – T10 Cricket Tournament on May 20 & 21 in city

Mysuru: Department of Physical education, University of Mysore in association with Navodaya Cricket Club and Jai Hind Cricket Club has organised the “Legends Premier League – T10 Cricket Tournament ” on May 20 and 21.

The matches will be held at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium, Manasagangotri and JSS- Sri Jayachamarajendra College  of Engineering (JSS-SJCE) Ground.

P Krishnaiah, Director, Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore and Chairman, Legends Premier League told media persons “Around 100 senior cricketers who have represented Ranji Trophy, Karnataka State, Mysuru division and University Cricket teams will be a part of this tournament. Teams From Mysuru, Bengaluru, Shivamogga, Tumakuru and a combined team from rest of Karnataka will be participating in the tournament.”

Most Importantly, We want our fellow cricketers to keep themselves fit and contribute to the growth of cricket thereby Inspiring youngsters all over, added Krishnaiah.

SAPIENT Education Trust, IFIMED Pharmaceuticals and Idea Infinity are supporting to conduct the tournament.

Prof N K Lokanath, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore will inaugurate the tournament on May 20 at 8 am, R K Harikrishna Kumar, Convener, Mysore zone, KSCA and Daljeet Ram, Chairman,
Sapient Education Trust will be present as the chuef guests.

Prize distribution ceremony will be held on May 21 at 4 pm.

Legends Premier League Organizing Committee members Dr Mansoor Ahmed, M R Ananda,
Sudhindra A, Dr Krishna Kumar, Yogesh, and Srinivas Prasad were also present at the press meet.

Tournament Brief: T10 Format:

➔ First of its kind tournament in Mysuru, 10-overs-a-side with a power play for 3 overs.

➔ “Impact Player” rule of IPL will be Adopted.

➔ 6 Teams || 2 Groups of 3 teams Each || Total 11 Matches with Semis and finals

➔ Each Team will get a minimum of 3 matches to play.

➔ Official Umpires, Scorers and KSCA rules will govern the tournament.

➔ Match timings: Day 1 Start: 8.30 am; Day 2 start: 9.30am.
