Learners PU College completes 10 years of its journey

Mrs Madhavi wife of Mr Murali, supported him throughout the journey and has been a strong pillar for him as well as the institute. The duo, with the help of their well-wishers, kickstarted this journey back in 2011 and now they complete a decade celebrating their passion, hard work and success.

 

Mysuru: Recently Learners PU College, founded by Mr Murali and Mrs Madhavi, completed 10 years of its journey and celebrated this milestone by conducting an event on Jund 6.

The guests like Mr Rangarajan V R (Ex Infosys CEO China), Prof Subraya (Ex head of Global Education Centre Infosys), Mr Babar Ali (World’s Youngest Headmaster), Dr Nagamani (Doctor from UK) and Mr
Aahlad Reddy (Managing Director, NewWave India) were invited.

Mr Murali, always had the passion towards education and hence decided to open an educational institute. He quit his job and started working towards building his dreams into reality.

The event witnessed guests wishing them for the success.

Mr Rangarajan said “I remember 10 years ago in Mysore; I came to initial event and we planted a tree then; I came back and I saw the tree was grown and we are completing 10th year. It is marvellous. Murali and Madhvi, both of you have done wonderful job with so many well-wishers around you. It’s a great achievement, It’s a milestone.”

He also said “It’s a decade of hard work and next decade you will see your dreams come true”.

Mr Mahadeva Swamy M B and Mr Nagaraja faculty of Learners provided constant support to the institute for the last 10 years since inception.

The event continued with interaction with some of the Alumni – Mr Nandan, Dr Suchitra, Ms Kshema and Mr Hritwik – where they all felt nostalgic.

An alumnus stated “Murali Sir always used to tell us – Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; teach him how to fish, you feed him for life”.

Learners taught us how to fish – and I’m leading my life because of this.” Many Alumni also emphasized benefits of Learners innovative learning methodology and learning Tools and Techniques like – 5W1H, Mind mapping, etc. in their life and how they continue to use it now and recommend others as well. There were many performances which were performed by the current students of Learners PU (Parvashree, Shishira , Chandana) as well as a classical dance performance by an Alumnus (Sunayana).

Some competitions were also held on the theme “Ecosystem Restoration” – celebrating WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY.

The competition consisted of poster making contest (conducted by Mrs Kalpana and Mr Yogesh) – winners were announced by Mr Nandakumar (Learners Advisory Board
Member), Essay Writing contest (conducted by Ms Pratibha and Ms Indumati) – announced by Nishant K Gautam ( Learners Advisory Board Member), Photography contest ( Ms Rachitha and Mr Keshav)- announced by Prof Subraya, and Live Quiz (conducted by Ms Suchitra and Ms Tejaswini) – announced by Mr Bala Subramanyam (Ex-DGM, L&T) ; winning Learners coupons.

Mrs Divya Rani congratulated all the winners of these competitions and announced the Learners gift coupons details.
Our esteemed Guest Mr Anbalagan said – “From a residential house to institution, institution to bigger organization, I can see the growth going on. This undying passion of Murali and Madhvi helped to reach this milestone.”

During this event a new project was launched under the Learners Digital Initiatives.

The team was introduced by Apurba Behera (Creative Director & Lead Developer of Learners Digital) who recently joined Learners Family from Infosys Education, Training and Assessment department. The team consists of SreeKumar R Koyickal (Consultant Strategist), B G Mohan Krishna (Software Architect and Advisor – Ex Lead Principal, Infosys) and Noorul Ameen (UX Design Consultant) and 5 interns from IIT Kharagpur.

The team is working under the guidance of Mr Murali to build an effective online learning platform using Learners methodology.

Another guest, Mr Aahlad Reddy (Managing Director, NewWave India), says “Learners Digital has been designed as a goal to extend learning beyond classrooms. It facilitates e-learning and on demand learning whichbridges gap between instructional methods and self-study. It has been designed with all principles that Murali sir and Madhvi ma’am have learnt in their vast corporate training and immense education experiences.”

The event concluded by the speech of Mr Babar Ali and Mr Shiva Shankar, wishing Learners PU college for its success and also mentioning about an upcoming event in
continuation to the celebration that is being planned to be conducted on July 15 (World Youth Skills day), under the guidance of the duo.

The event would witness Maths Skill Competitions on the Learners Digital Platform about which details would be communicated soon.
