Laxmi Hebbalkar rushes accident victims to hospital on her way to meeting in Chamarajanagar

Chamarajanagar: Woman and Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar came to the rescue of two youths who had met with an accident and were struggling in the pool of blood with no assistance on Doddapete Cross here on Monday.
The minister was on her way to attend a preliminary meeting of the launch of Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Chamarajanagar when she came across the two youths struggling for life in a pool of blood. The two bike-borne youths were knocked down by an auto near Santhemarahalli on the outskirts of Chamarajanagar. The minister who was crossing by in her vehicle stopped by them and immediately called the ambulance and helped in shifting the injured to the hospital in time. The minister’s timely action in spite of her busy schedule is being lauded by everyone.
Traffic came to a halt on the stretch as the onlookers swarmed the accident site. The minister who looked visibly shocked at the condition of the youths, later acted swiftly to save the youth’s lives. The onlookers appreciated the minister’s efforts and also urged her to provide a solution for the accident-prone stretch.
