Law Minister Kiren Rijiju replaced by Arjun Ram Meghwal

New Delhi: In a surprise move, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has now been replaced by Arjun Ram Meghwal, who was Minister of State in-charge of Parliamentary Affairs. Rijiju will now head the Ministry of Earth Sciences, a relatively low-key portfolio.
According to a statement issued by Rashtrapathi Bhavan said that the decision was taken as advised by the Prime Minister. Meghwal has been assigned the independent charge of the law ministry in addition to his existing portfolio.
