Lanka blast: Seven Kannadigas missing

Sri Lanka: Seven tourists from Bengaluru in Karnataka, all Janata Dal ( Secular ) party leaders are suspected to be missing after the serial blasts that ripped apart various parts of island nation on Sunday.
The blasts allegedy carried out by suicide bombers has already claimed over 200 lives and death toll is expected to mount further with over 400 people iinjured in the mishap.
JD(S) leaders Maregowda, Puttaraju, Shivanna, Lakshminarayan, Muniyappa, Hanumantharayappa and Rangappa had gone on a tour to Colombo the Lankan capital on April 20. Three among them- Hanumantharayappa, Rangappa and another is feared dead, while the remaining persons have gone missing.
They had campaigned for Chikkaballapur MP M Veerappa Moily who has contested Lok Sabha elections as JD( S) backed Congress candidate, the election to which was held on April 18 in the first phase.
Following the election, they went on a tour and were staying at Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo, where a suicide bomber carried out the attack.
