Landslide claims lives of two kids in sleep at Kaikamba in Dakshina Kannada

Dakshina Kannada: Amidst the scare of Covid-19, landslide has snuffed out two kids lives in the district on Sunday.
Two kids who were asleep met their tragic end when the Bangle Gudda, at Kaikamba near Gurukrupa witnessed landslide, bringing down a part of the house. While the other occupants of the house ran out to save their lives, the kids in sleep were caught under the debris.
Upon receiving the information, national disaster response force ( NDRF) personnel and fire and emergency services personnel rushed to the spot. However after a four hour long operation, they could only retrieve the bodies of two kids.
The coastal belt is receiving heavy rainfall in the last few days, triggering the chances of landslide.
