Land dispute! Elderly couple injured in assault at Hunsur

Mysuru: An elderly couple was injured after they were allegedly attacked by four others over a land dispute at Hyrige village near Honnenahalli in Hunsur taluk on Saturday.
The couple identified as Chandrashetty and Mahadevamma are admitted at a hospital in Mysuru. They have suffered grievous injuries.
Chandrashetty and Kalegowda families are at loggerheads over two acres of land. Even as the dispute has reached court, Kalegowda family has allegedly made several bids on the lives of the couple. There was also an attempt to set ablaze Mahadevamma.
On Friday, Kalegowda raked up the issue with Chandrashetty and allegedly assaulted the latter and his wife, before fleeing from the spot.
A complaint has been lodged against Kalegowda, Rakesh, Devaraj and Ram at Hunsur rural police station.
