Mangaluru: A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Labland Biotech Pvt Ltd, Mysuru and Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru.
Labland Biotech Private Limited which is a global player in the field of Plant
Biotechnology, with a fully equipped laboratory at Mysuru, South India signed
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nitte (Deemed to be University),
Deralakatte on July 1.
As per MOU both the parties will work together on research and education.
The main objective of this MOU would be to work together on any mutually agreeable area of research, potentially in the fields of medicinal plants, tissue culture, secondary metabolites, clinical research, molecular biology, bio-informatics, bio-statistics, technology development and bio-fuel.
Labland Biotech Pvt Ltd was represented by its chairman Dr Sudheer Shetty,
Nitte (DU) was represented by its Vice chancellor Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary.
Pro Vice-chancellor Dr M S Moodithaya, Registrar Dr Alka Kulkarni, Director
(R&D) Dr Praveen Kumar Shetty, Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry Dr Suchetha Kumari N were also present during the signing of MOU.
