KUWJ urges CM to help journalists hit by Covid-19 crises

Bengaluru: Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) has appealed to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to come to the rescue of journalists affected by Covid-19.
KUWJ President Shivanand Tagadur recently met the chief minister and urged for financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to the Journalists at district, taluk and grama panchayat levels.
The State Governments at Tamil Nadu and other States have taken measures to help Journalists in distress.
The Karnataka Government also must respond to the woes of Journalists. Tagadur has thanked the chief minister for declaring Journalists as frontline warriors and making arrangements for vaccination for the fraternity.
