Kurubur accident: Minister visits Cheluvamba hospital to inquire injured

Mysuru: Social Welfare Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa visited Cheluvamba Hospital here on Tuesday and inquired about the victims of Kurubur accident who have been admitted here. Ten from three families – hailing from Sangankal in Ballari – died on the spot when their vehicle collided headon with a private bus near Kurubur on Monday. They were returning to Mysuru after visiting Biligiri Ranganatha swami temple.
Expressing his condolences to those died in the accident, minister Mahadevappa said that the government has already announced ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh each to the deceased families. Besides, Rs 50,000 has been granted for those injured in the gruesome mishap. The hospital authorities have been directed to provide suitable treatment to the injured.
Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, B Nagendra, a native of Ballari, also visited the hospital and inquired about the injured.
