Kudla Samskrutika Prathishtana holds heartwarming birthday celebration of actor Anant Nag

Mangaluru: The Kudla Samskrutika Prathishtana and Anant Nag Abhinandana Samiti held a heartwarming 75th birthday celebration of versatile actor Anant Nag in Mangaluru on Sunday. The actor along with his wife were driven in a decked-up chariot from Canara High School in Dongerkeri to the T V Ramana Pai auditorium where a special programme was organised. The chariot was pulled through the main thoroughfares of the City accompanied by tiger dancers and small children dressed up to celebrate his various characters in movies.
Earlier, the actor offered floral tributes to educationist and founder of Canara bank Ammebala Subbarao Pai’s bust at the school premises. MLA Vedvyas Kamat and Gayatri Nag inaugurated the programme at Pai auditorium. The event also celebrated the actor’s 50 years in movies.
Later, an interaction was held where Kasargod Chinna, Dinesh Mangaluru, Lakshman Kumar Malluru and Sadashiva Shenoy were resource persons. Manohar Prasad moderated the interaction.
It was one a truly heart touching celebration of the actor’s birthday.
