KSRTC driver-cum-conductor dies as electric bus hits goods vehicle on Mysuru- Bengaluru Expressway

Ramanagara: Mysuru- Bengaluru Expressway that has been witnessing fatal accidents nearly on a daily basis, witnessed yet another accident on Wednesday.

A KSRTC electric bus of Mysuru-Bengaluru route hit a Bolero pickup jeep near Vijayapura in Ramanagar taluk, claiming the life of the bus driver cum conductor identified as Ramesh G on the spot. Ramesh was from Kengeri depot-5 of Bengaluru, KSRTC.

The passengers sustained minor injuries and were rushed to a local hospital.

According to the police, the accident occurred when the KSRTC electric bus, which was on its way to Bengaluru from Mysuru, tried to overtake the Bolero pick up vehicle loaded with plywood.
Ramanagara traffic police visited the spot and are investigating the case.
