KSOU, Koushalya Karnataka host Mega Job Fair on April 7

Mysuru: Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) and Koushalya Karnataka are jointly organising a Mega Job Fair on April 7 at KSOU campus in the city.

Karnataka State Open University Vice Chancellor Prof S Vidyashankar told media persons on Friday “the job fair is not restricted to job aspirants from Mysuru only, as it is open for interested candidates from the nearby districts also. It is the second such mega Job Mela organised by KSOU, Prof Vidyashankar added.

Koushalya Karnataka MD Ashwin Gowda said “KSOU is providing the stage for job mela. We have successfully organized mega job fairs in Belagavi, Kalaburagi and Mangaluru which received good response and more than nearly 4000 plus candidates got jobs”.

On April 7, Job Fair will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM and the job aspirants can enroll on Koushalya Karnataka portal. BE, BSc, BCom, BA and technical and non- technical graduates and qualified can attend the mela. More than 80 companies are participating and 6,000 jobs are available. We have set a target to bag 70 % of jobs, Ashwin Gowda added.

We have made it mandatory to the companies who reject the candidates. to give reason for rejection. if  they are not adequate with soft skills or any other skills, we will further organise bridge courses for candidates particularly in skill training, Ashwin Gowda said.

Koushalya Karnataka has an exclusive job portal connecting already more than 15,000 job aspirants registered with the portal. The 125 companies can also partner with skill connect. It works like Naukri.com, he said.
