KPL 2019: ‘Mysuru Warriors’ to play for a cause

Mysuru: Mysuru Warriors, a KPL team owned by NR Group has announced their cause partners on Saturday. The eighth edition of ‘KPL 2019’ cricket tournament will be held from August 16.

Reforest India, Kalisu Foundation, Usha Kiran Eye Hospital and Deutsche Cleft Kinderhlife are the cause partners who will be receiving funds.

Kiran Ranga, owner of Warriors said on Saturday ‘the team will contribute Rs 1,000 towards every fours and sixes hit during the tourney and also for the every wicket taken by the team in the matches.

The money received will be doubled by Cycle Pure Agarbathies, as powered by the sponsors and further will be divided equally among the cause partners for the social cause.

Reforest India will be planting saplings, as in the previous year 1000 saplings were planted at Sainik School in Madikeri, six jnanalayas have been built along with Kalisu Foundation, Usha Kiran Eye Hospital has treated 40 girl children with disabilities and Deutsche has treated 40 children with cleft lip.

Mysuru Warriors contributes Rs one lakh to each of the cause partners, every year.

Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), Mysuru convener, Balachandra, Dr Ravikumar of Usha Kiran Eye Hospital, M M Nikhilesh of Kalisu Foundation and Manuprasad were present.
