KPCC working president Eshwar Khandre visits Hunsur

Mysuru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee ( KPCC) working president Eshwar Khandre on Sunday visited the flood hit Hunsur town in the district.
Khandre who visited Shabbeer Nagar and Brahmin’s street in the town, consoled the dwellers who are largely affected by water gushing into their houses from overflowing Lakshmanatheerta river in the town.
Both the State and Central government should issue adequate compensation as people in both rural and urban areas have lost their properties, urged Khandre.
Former Hunsur MLA H P Manjunath also gave financial assistance from his pocket.
Former MP C H Vijayashankar, Mysore District Rural Congress Committee president B J Vijaykumar and Zilla Panchayat Vice- president Gowramma Somashekar accompanied Khandre on his inspection visit.
