KPCC president ‘ hits’ controversy! BJP leader calls D K Shivakumar’s act as frustration over Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D K Shivakumar has courted controversy by slapping a party worker during his visit to Mandya on Saturday.

BJP General Secretary N Ravikumar has mocked it as the frustration exhibited by Shivakumar over Siddaramaiah.

“As Shivakumar can’t hit Siddaramaiah, he has shown it on a party worker. Shivakumar being a ‘shishya’ of Kotwal ( referring to an underworld don) has also shown his behaviour,” said Ravikumar.

Meanwhile, in a defensive tone, Shivakumar took exception to the behaviour of the party worker who tried to put his hand on his (Shivakumar) shoulder only to face his wrath.

Shivakumar was visiting K M Doddi in Maddur taluk, to call on the ailing Congress veteran and former Mandya MP G Madegowda at the hospital.

A party worker tried to put his hand on Shivakumar’s shoulder, only to irk the latter who slapped him and asked to behave in public.

With Covid-19 cases yet to subside fully, Shivakumar was angered over the party worker for trying to get close violating social distance norms.
