Kodagu: The forest personnel have finally managed to capture the big cat that had killed two persons at Badaga village on the fringes of Nagarahole forest on Tuesday.
Over 150 forest personnel were deployed in a mission to capture the tiger since the incident happened in Nanachchi village on the fringes of the forest. As they spotted the tiger at Nanachchi village, they tranquilized the 12-year-old tiger and captured it.
Two days ago, the tiger had killed a 12-year-old boy and another 72-year-old man in Nanachchi village limits. Following the huge uproar over the incident, the government had ordered the mission.

It is suspected that the tiger may have injured its tooth and was unable to hunt. This may have forced the big cat to attack on human habitat.
The captured tiger has now been shifted to Koorgalli rehabilitation centre in Mysuru. The forest officials had taken the help of elephants – Abhimanyu, Ashwathama and Bheema – in their mission.
