Kodagu VHP President escapes gun attack; bullet hits car

Kodagu: Amid the heat of elections, Kodagu witnessed a gun attack, with unidentified miscreants attacking a Vishwa Hindu Parishat leader.
Krishnamurthy, advocate and President of Kodagu unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) was travelling in his car from Kushalnagar to Madikeri, when the miscreants shot at him near Abbiyala in Chattalli. Fortunately, the bullet hit the car and Krishnamurthy luckily escaped from being hit by the bullet.
SP Ramarajan rushed to the spot and several police teams have been formed to trace the assailants.
Madikeri Bar Association President K D Dayanand condemned the attack and submitted a memorandum to SP to nab the culprits.
Like other parts of the State, Kodagu is also in election mood and the incident of attack on VHP leader has sparked a fresh row.
