Kochanahalli farmers protest completes 100 days! Delegation of leaders to decide next step

Mysuru: The farmers indefinite protest at Kochanahalli in the taluk has completed 100 days.

To plan the future course of protest, leaders irrespective of organisations will be visiting Kochanahalli at Varuna hobli today at 12 noon.

Social activist P Mallesh, Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha president Badagalapura Nagendra, Ugra Narasimhe Gowda of Swaraj India, farmer leaders Bokkahalli Nanjunda Swamy and Hosakote Basavaraj, AIUTUC district secretary Chandrashekar Meti and DSS leader Choranahalli Shivanna will be visiting Kochanahalli.

The farmers are on protest condemning the indifferent attitude of Heritage Golf and Total Environment, the companies which bought the agricultural lands at Kochanahalli for a throwaway price and cheated on the promise of providing job to land losing farmers.
