King Charles III to address the nation tonight
1 min readNew Delhi: Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, her son and Britain’s new King Charles III will address the nation at 10:30 PM.
According to Buckingham Palace, a week-long period of mourning post the state funeral is to be observed by members of the royal family and household. While there is no decision yet on the date of the funeral. It is expected in about 10 days time.
The state funeral will take place as per Operation London Bridge the name of the funeral plan for the Queen.
A remembrance service will be held at St Paul’s, tbat will be attended by the prime ministers and ministers.
Charles will be officially proclaimed King in a ceremony at the Accession Council on Saturday.
After the meeting, the Principal Proclamation, announcing Charles as sovereign, will be read on from the balcony overlooking Friary Court at St James’s Palace, Central London.
