Hubballi: Following Congress leaders’ serious allegation over the purported audio of Chittapur BJP candidate threatening to ‘eliminate’ Kharge and family, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the veracity of the audio would be looked into.
Speaking to mediapersons here in Hubballi on Saturday, CM Bommai said that it is necessary to find out whether the audio has been ‘doctored’ before commenting on it. However, the allegation would be looked into, he added.
On the occasion, he also maintained that he has no problem in actor Shiva Rajkumar campaigning for Siddaramaiah. “Celebrities have their own choice in democracy to campaign and I will not comment on it. Opinion of minister Somanna and MP Pratap Simha are their own,” he said.
Hat-trick Hero Shiva Rajkumar had campaigned for Congress candidate Siddaramaiah in Varuna MP Pratap Simha and Siddaramaiah’s opponent V Somanna had expressed their displeasure over it.
