Bengaluru: With rains expecting to lash Bengaluru through the week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mega 8-hour road show has now been stretched to Sunday as well. As per the new itinerary, PM Modi will hold the road show on May 7 (Sunday) from 1 pm in Bengaluru. Earlier, it was announced that PM Modi will go on 36.6 km road show covering the north and south and east and west of Silicon Valley of India in a single day, on May 6, Saturday. However, the weather forecast seems to have forced the BJP functionaries to reschedule his road show, which has been termed as the mother of all road shows!
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will cover 18 constituencies of 28 constituencies in Bengaluru and hopes to create the magic that will translate into votes on May 10.
In fact, winning Bengaluru is very crucial for BJP as the BJP has been facing severe backlash over its mismanagement in infrastructure woes, especially during the rainy season.
It may be recalled here that in 2018, the Congress had won 15 seats while the BJP secured 11 and JDS won only two seats. Faced with anti-incumbency, the BJP is pulling all stops to perform its tally from last time with PM Modi’s magic show.
The roadshow is expected to pass through KR Puram, CV Raman Nagar, Shantinagar, Shivajinagar, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru South, Bommanahalli, Padmanabhanagar, Jayanagar, Chickpet, Basavanagudi, Chamarajpet, Vijayanagar, Gandhinagar, Govindarajnagar, RAjajinagar, Mahalaxmi Layout and Malleswaram.
Except for the timings, there is no change in route map for the road show that is spanned over two weeks.
