Mysuru: With just a few hours left for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s road show in the Cultural Capital of Karnataka, the organizers have reduced the distance of the road show due to time constraints.
ADGP Law and Order Alok Kumar told mediapersons here that the distance of PM Modi’s road show has been cut down due to paucity of time.
Earlier, it was planned that the road show would culminate at the LIC Circle. But, now it has been decided to end at Highway Circle.
As many as 2,500 police personnel have been deployed for security, he said, adding that the Karnataka police are skilled in managing road shows. Apart from this, 1.6 lakh police officers are on election duty, and over Rs 200 crore of unaccounted money has been seized by the police, so far.
During Modi road show, the procession will pass through Rajamarga, covering a distance of 4 km, with saffron flags decorating the road. The organizers have also prepared five dedicated spaces to allow senior citizens to take part in the road show.
