Nagamangala: Politics is an opportunity to serve people and people are the only asset of any politician. One cannot do politics for self, observed Siddaramaiah, former chief minister and Congress candidate in Varuna.
Addressing a public gathering at Badagadummana temple at Nagamangala on Wednesday, he recalled his journey in politics spanning 50 years. “I have taken both win and loss in my stride during my political journey. People will know whether you are serving them or not, over the years. I have believed in serving for the people and people are my assets today,” he said adding that the Congress party – when in government – has strived to fulfill the promises made in its manifesto and will continue to do so, in future. He sought people to vote for Congress candidate Cheluvanarayanaswamy in Nagamangala and give him an opportunity to serve people.
Addressing the people, candidate Cheluvanarayanaswamy said that he would not concentrate on his opponent candidates’ criticism. But will focus on developing Nagamangala, Koppa and Mandya region, he said seeking votes.
Taluk Block Congress president Rajesh Krishnegowda, Rajegowda Huchchappa Prasanna and others were present.
