Karnataka elections: No government strived for fisherfolk’s welfare but BJP: PM Modi in Mulki

Mulki: Always making an effort to connect with the people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi – on Wednesday – greeted people who had gathered in huge numbers at Mulk in Tulu! His welcome in Tulu was responded with raucous applause by the gathering who chanted ‘Modi’ ‘Modi’.

Lauding the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district’s immense contribution in banking sector, Prime Minister said these regions are known as the ‘cradle of banking’.

Stating that the BJP has the vision of making Karnataka a manufacturing superpower, he asked the people to vote BJP to realise this vision.

He further said that while the Congress ‘Parivar’ in Delhi wants to make Karnataka its no 1 ATM, the BJP wants to make Karnataka no 1 in all sectors that include education, health, manufacturing, fisheries and others.

He also listed out Karnataka’s achievements in start-ups, space sector and innovations. “Karnataka’s contribution is inevitable in making India third economic power. So, vote for double engine government for a sustainable government,” he added.

PM Modi credited his government for implementing various schemes for Coastal region and Matsya Sampada for betterment of fisherfolk. “No government had prioritised fishermen community earlier. But the BJP government has made a separate ministry for fisheries,” he claimed.

BJP candidates from Dakhsina Kannada and Udupi districts were present along with prominent leaders from the party.
