1 min read

Kalaburagi: In a straight-out-of-movie scene, Kalaburagi deputy commissioner Yashvanth V Gurukar chased a few men – alleged to be working for BJP candidate – allegedly distributing money at Sangameshwar Colony here on Sunday.

It is said that the men had disconnected the street light facility in the colony to distribute money at around 1 am. They were allegedly working for BJP candidate and current MLA Dattatreya Patil Revur. Following a tip-off, the deputy commissioner rushed to the spot without even informing the police.

Shocked to see the deputy commissioner at that hour, the men drove off in their car, speeding at 100 km per hour. Despite the officer asking them to stop the car, they drove off. However, the deputy commissioner managed to stop their vehicle at the central bus stop in Vidyanagar and caught-hold of the men. Another person is said to have escaped with money bag, it is said.

A video of deputy commissioner chasing the car has gone viral on social media.
