Chamarajanagar: BJP candidate V Somanna who is contesting from Chamarajanagar and Varuna Assembly constituencies finally was able to cast his vote – for himself – from Pete Primary School Booth no 75 in Chamarajanagar on Wednesday.

Somanna, a resident of Vijayanagar in Bengaluru had represented Govindarajnagar Assembly constituency all this while. But he had missed a chance to cast his own vote thrice. “After the constituency’s delimitation, this is for the first time I was able to vote for myself. I am happy,” Somanna told mediapersons after casting his vote.

He further said that he has been in politics for 45 years and have contested for 12 times. This time he is contesting from both Varuna and Chamarajanagar.

Following this, he and his wife have shifted their voting rights to Chamarajanagar, recently.

He exhuded confidence that the people want change here and an Varuna and they will vote for him for development at both the constituencies.
