Karnataka elections: D K Shivakumar, Nikhil and H D Kumaraswamy to file nomination today

Bengaluru: Hectic political activities ahead of Karnataka elections, is expected today.

The prominent leaders including KPCC President D K Shivakumar, Janata Dal Secular’s H D Kumaraswamy and Nikhil Kumaraswamy are expected to file their nominations today.

KPCC President D K Shivakumar will offer prayers to family diety at 10 am and will later head to Tahsildar office to file his nomination. His brother and Bangalore Rural MP D K Suresh will accompany him.

JDS Youth Wing President Nikhil Kumaraswamy is expected to come with a huge fanfare to submit nomination papers to Ramnagar Assembly constituency at Ramnagar Mini Vidhana Soudha. Meanwhile, a procession has been planned from junior college grounds. He is expected to visit temple, church and a dargah before filing the nomination.

He will be accompanied by his father and JDS leader, former H D Kumaraswamy and mother Anitha Kumaraswamy the incumbent MLA of Ramanagar.

A public meeting has also been planned at old bus stand grounds. From here, JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy will head to Channapatna to file his nomination papers around 12.30 pm. He is also expected to arrive with huge supporters.

Congress candidate for Ramnagar Iqbal Hussein will file nomination papers. He is expected to visit temple, mosque snd church on the way to file nomination.

Congress MP DK Suresh is expected to accompany him.

Channapatna Congress candidate S Gangadhar is also expected to file his nomination.
