Shiggaon: “Gedde gelluvevu ondu dina, gellalebeku ollethana” (We shall win one day, for good always wins) is how Sandalwood actor ‘Kichcha Sudeep’ campaigned in his own inimitable style for chief minister Basavaraj Bommai at Shiggaon on Wednesday.

Participating at a public function at Shiggaon, Sudeep, who is the star campaigner for the BJP, appealed to people to vote for Basavaraj Bommai for development, progress and prosperity.

Endearingly calling the chief minister, ‘Mama’, Sudeep said that CM Bommai, in a very short span of time has done wonders in the State. Considering this, he must be elected again for your good. “He is not a ‘naam ke vaste’ but ‘kaam ke vaste’ leader here. So, he deserves your vote,” Sudeep added.

Calling BJP National president JP Nadda and other BJP leaders as his friends, Sudeep said that he has always appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration that has made the country a prominent leader in the global arena.

Stating that he was moved by the love showered on him at Shiggaon which he was visiting for the first time, Sudeep appealed to the people to make the right choice.

Earlier, Sudeep reached Shiggaon in the morning and received a grand reception at CM Bommai’s house. Later, along with the chief minister he garlanded the statue of Kittur Rani Chennamma and hit the campaign, that witnessed a massive crowd that jostled for space to catch the glimpse of their favourite ‘star’.
