Kannadiga Abdul Nazeer is Andhra Governor

New Delhi: Retired Supreme Court Judge and a native of Dakshina Kannada district, Justice Abdul Nazeer has been appointed as the new Governer of Andhra Pradesh.
Justice Abdul Nazeer has been a part of many momentous verdicts including the Ayodhya verdict. He was the sole minority judge on the bench that unanimously delivered verdict in favor of Ram Janmabhoomi. He was part of Triple Talaq verdict and part of bench that upheld privacy as a fundamental right. He was part of the Constitution bench that upheld the demonitisation process.
Nazeer, a commerce graduate obtained his law degree from SDM Law College, Mangaluru.
