K V Sampath Kumar editor of Sudharma country’s oldest Sanskrit daily passes away

Mysuru: Padma Shri awardee senior journalist K V Sampath Kumar passed away on Wednesday. He was 64.

Sampath Kumar was the editor and publisher of Sudharma the country’s oldest Sanskrit daily published from the city.
He was busy in bringing out the day’s edition, when he suffered cardiac arrest in office and breathed his last in the afternoon.
Sampath Kumar who had taken over the reins of the daily from his father and founder editor K Varadaraja Iyengar, was running the same with equal grit and determination.
The newspaper was founded on July 14, 1970.
Recently in 2020, Sudharma had turned 50 years.
It was in the same year, Sampath Kumar and his wife Jayalakshmi K S were conferred the Padma award for their effortless service.
