Justice for Basavanna! Historian S Shettar wants corrective steps

Mysuru: Historian S Shettar has said that “historians should shoulder the responsibility of clearing confusions related to 12th century social reformer Basavanna”.
Speaking during Basava Jayanti celebration organised by Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha in association with federation of Basava Balaga at Kalamandir on Tuesday ” Researchers have also not done justice to Basavanna. There should be meaningful differences, than creating confusions”.
Hence, Shettar gave a call to resolve on the occasion of Basava Jayanti to solve the differences in a peaceful manner.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra, former supreme court chief justice M N Venkatachalaiah, Police Commissioner K T Balakrishna, veerashaiva mahasabha president Shivamurty Kanya, Basava Balaga chairperson Jaya Gowda and Programme committee chairman S M Jambukeshwar were present.
