Journalists in Mysuru condole Hanumanthu’s death! Observe minute’s silence

Mysuru: Journalists observed a minute’s silence to condole the death of journalist Hanumanthu, in the city on Tuesday.

Hanumanthu who was the Correspondent of Public TV in Ramanagar was killed in a road accident that occurred near Ramanagar jail same day.

The members of Mysore District Journalists Association ( MDJA) along with non- member journalists gathered near the Maharani’s College enroute Deputy Commissioner’s office and observed a minute’s silence to pray for the departed soul.

Senior journalist Rangaswamy a former member of executive committee of MDJA who spoke on behalf of the fraternity appealed to the fellow journalists to be safe and secure in the field, especially with the fight against Coronavirus underway.

Hanumanthu was also a Corona warrior who met his tragic end minutes after discharging his duty. A few minutes before his death, Hanumanthu had taken part in a live discussion from the jail premises, that was also aired on the news channel, recalled Rangaswamy.

Journalists Somashekar, K P Nagaraj, Ram, Madhusudhan and others took part in the condolence meet.
