Journalists are prone to BP, diabetes due to stress: Dr Sridhar

Mysuru: Over 150 journalists and their family members underwent health check at the camp organised by Mysore District Journalist Association and Secure Hospital at Patrakarthara Bhavan on Saturday.

In the camp held from 8.30 am to 3 pm, journalists weight, height, BP, diabetes level and general check up was conducted along with ECG.

Medicines were given to those necessary after check up.

Dr Sridhar head of Secure Hospital who inaugurated the camp said “as the Journalists work under stress, the chances of BP and diabetes are more. Hence, the Journalists should undergo health check up at times and take care of their health condition.”

Dr Vishwas, Dr Aishwarya Ramesh, Dr Nivedita Gowda and Dr Chetan, nurses Asha, Savita, Shivamma and Maheshwari were present.

Chandru distributed medicines. 

MDJA President S T Ravikumar, general secretary M Subramanya, Vice- president Anurag Basavaraj, Secretary P Rangaswamy, Executive Committee members Krishnoji Rao, Shivamurthy Juptimath and Rangaswamy Madapura, Secure Hospital General Manager Periya, Administrative Officer Thaporaju, Nursing Superintendent Keshav, Marketing division’s Niranjan, Joshua, Shivu and Chikkaswamy were present.
