Josephites grab medals, trophies in sports

Mysuru: The students of St Joseph’s First Grade College, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru put up a spectacular display at Mysore University Inter-collegiate Chamundi Zone Tournament organised by the University of Mysore in association with SBRR Mahajana College and emerged champions in Basketball tournament.
They also bagged Hockey championship at Mysore University Inter-collegiate Chamundi Zone Tournament organised by the University of Mysore in collaboration with Seshadripuram Degree College qualifying themselves to play at the inter-collegiate inter-zonal tournaments.
Additionally, the college team was declared winner of the Handball Competition organised as a part of the Mysore City Inter-Collegiate Tournament 2023-24 held at MIT Engineering College, Kesare.
Apart from this, they have clinched a total of 12 medals at the Karate and Kickboxing competitions held as a part of the tournament conducted by the University of Mysore and Seshadripuram Degree College. The students have won 5 medals in Karate and 6 medals in Kickboxing.

1. Preetham M S – 1 gold medal (Kickboxing) and 1 gold medal (Karate), 2. Pavan M S – 1 gold medal (Kickboxing) and 1 bronze medal (Karate), 3. Chethan – 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal (Karate), 4. Vinay K – 1 gold medal (Kickboxing), 5. Mr. Nithin – 1 silver medal (Kickboxing), 6. Durga Bhavani – 1 gold medal (Kickboxing), 7. Kaveramma – 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal (Karate), 8. Lekhan – 1 silver medal (Karate)
Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary, Mysore Diocese Educational Society (MDES), Rev. Fr.
