Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra sought the cooperation of devotees visiting Chamundi Hill in keeping the place free from plastic.

Speaking after inaugurating the Swachhata Abhiyan and awareness programme on plastic ban organised by district administration, Zilla Panchayat and Clean Mysuru Foundation and other organisations, at the foothill of Chamundi, Deputy Commissioner Rajendra reiterated that Chamundi Hill Gram Panchayat has been taking measures by seizing the plastic carry bags from shop vendors. The devotees who carry water bottles to the hill must not discard them in an indiscriminate manner as it will harm the environment, the DC said.
