1 min read

New Delhi: Jammu& Kashmir reservation Bill has been passed by voice vote at Rajya Sabha on Monday. The Bill will extend 10 per cent reservation to economically weaker sections in the valley.

Replying to the discussions over the scrapping of special status by revoking Article 370 and Article 35A, Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to the members to rise above vote bank politics.

Following the scrapping of the Articles that were a hurdle in the overall development of the valley in the last 70 years, Shah said ‘ in the coming days we will see the uber happy people in Kashmir away from the bullet and bomb riddled situation that was the order of the day’.
