JDS has proven its existence with Janata Jaladhare, claims H D Kumaraswamy

Mysuru: In a tough message to his detractors, former chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday asserted that ‘JDS has shown its existence with full vigour through Janata Jaladhare. While both the national parties lack confidence to face the elections’.

Kumaraswamy who addressed media persons in the city said “Both the national parties failed to attract masses like Janata Jaladhare. It gives a strong hope to the party that is sure to gain in the next elections, as we have a target to win not less than 123 assembly seats in 2023 elections”.

Pooh-poohing the Congress’ strategy of ‘one family one ticket’ and Narendra Modi’s stand against dynasty politics, Kumaraswamy said “it won’t workout”.

A Congress leader in Mysuru is already disappointed. While BJP is also not behind in dynasty politics, Kumaraswamy alleged.

Regarding the allegations of giving ticket to H K Ramu to contest elections to Legislative Council from South Graduates constituency scheduled on June 13, Kumaraswamy said “it was decided by the party’s core committee. Whatever Maritibbegowda (sitting MLC from South Graduates  constituency who had alleged in the day that Keelara Jayaram was ignored for Ramu) has alleged they are all false. We have instances where the candidates who lagged behind in money power also won the Assembly elections, with the party taking care of their expenses.

Kumaraswamy also expressed his strong opposition to the ordinance on anti- conversion Bill, signed by the Governor in the day.

MLAs Sa Ra Mahesh and C Ashwin Kumar and MLC C N Manjegowda, JDS City President K T Chaluvegowda, district President Narasimha Swamy and others were present.
