JDS’ Dr Sooraj Revanna elected to Legislative Council from Hassan

Hassan: As anticipated JDS candidate Dr Sooraj Revanna won the election to Legislative Council from Hassan local bodies constituency.
Sooraj Revanna polled a whopping 2242 votes against his nearest rival Congress’ M Shankar who got 731 votes and BJP’s H M Vishwanath who got 354 votes.
Sooraj Revanna won by a margin of 1511 votes against his nearest rival Shankar of Congress.
It was also the debut election for Sooraj Revanna son of former minister H D Revannna and grandson of former prime minister and JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda.
