JDS-BJP alliance left me humiliated before party workers: C M Ibrahim

1 min read

Bengaluru: Apparently not happy with his party joining hands with the BJP, JDS State president C M Ibrahim stated that he was “hurt” by his party’s decision that made him hang his head in shame before party workers.

Addressing mediapersons here on Saturday, he said that he will take a “decision” after October 16. “Party leaders have informed about the alliance. But, they did not bother to inform me, though I am still the party State president. The decision of alliance has not been discussed in the party meeting and I am not aware when the alliance was finalised. I am hurt by these developments,” he remarked.

“If it was decided in the party meeting, I would have authorized the decision as the party president,” he added.

“The party leaders are not in a position to understand that the party votes went to Congress in the Assembly elections. Instead of party leaders going to BJP, it should have been the other way round. JDS is not a party of Hindus or Muslims but it’s a party of Kannadigas,” he added.
He further said that he will decide about his future in the party after October 16.
