Janata Curfew! MCC along with cops, GSS Foundation gives food to stranded lot

Mysuru: While most stayed indoors during Janata Curfew on Sunday, over 300 train passengers were stranded on the day. When they were finding it difficult to get food or water, Mysuru CityCorporation and (MCC) volunteers of GSS Foundation came to their rescue.

About 350 train passengers who were stranded enroute Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu faced trouble and were wandering near railway station in Mysuru, when MCC personnel arranged food and accommodation for them.

Health Officer Dr D G Nagaraj led team along with GSS Foundation’s G S Srihari joined hands and arranged food from Indira Canteen.

Nagaraj told Mysoorunews.com that, a few media friends informed us and later we visited the railway station. As it was Janatha Curfew, they faced problem even to get a cup of coffee or tea. May be today onwards parcel food availability is there from hotels, he said.
