Jai Bheem! MLA G T Devegowda unveils bust of Dr B R Ambedkar at Anagalli

Mysuru: “India has the best Constitution in the world and the credit goes to its chief architect Dr B R Ambedkar”, said former minister and Chamundeshwari MLA G T Devegowda.

Gowda was addressing the gathering after unveiling the bust of Dr B R Ambedkar at Anagalli in Mysuru taluk on Sunday.

Jai Bheeem Yuvakara Sangha had organised the programme.

Lauding the contributions of Ambedkar, Gowda said “Ambedkar can be described as one of the creative and active persons ever seen by India”.

Describing that the thinkings of Ambedkar in the fight against injustice, inequality and atrocity still hold relevance in the society, Gowda said “Ambedkar was the eyes and ears of the oppressed who laid down the path towards a better life”.

He opined that the the Ambedkar’s thrust on inculcating the spirit of education, organisation and unity should be spread among all. The youths should be taught the principles of Ambedkar and patience and peace as propagated by Bhagwan Buddha.

Gowda also remembered Puneeth Rajkumar who lived true to the adage of “Contributing to the society rather than expecting from the society”.

All should follow the path laid down by revolutionary Basavanna who through Vachana literature enormously contributed to the society.

Karnataka Bhikku Mahasangha Vice- President Sri Bhodiratna Bhanteji, former MP R Dhruvanarayana, former ZP President K Marigowda, former mayor R Purushottam, GP members Basavegowda, Guruswamy, Mahadeva Swamy, Mallesh, Sugreeva and other were present.
