It’s a tight rope walk, says CM Yediyurappa

1 min read

Davangere: We have been used to sombre looking Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa who rarely smiles, even after holding reins of the State for the fourth term.

Is this could be the reason? Yediyurappa who was taking part in a programne on September 29, has said “It’s been a tightrope walk for me. I am extremely careful while taking any decisions”. His preceding statement was ” I want to say something and nobody should mistake it”.

There is no secret left over what may be the trigger going by the turn of events ever since Yediyurappa toppled previous JD(S) and Congress coalition government, with the help of 17 rebel MLAs of alliance partners.

In a quid pro quo like understanding Yediyurappa has to ensure future of the rebel MLAs, that has been brewing a storm within the party. The proposal to carve out new Vijayanagar district out of Ballari has angered Reddy brothers. Umesh Katthi the disgruntled BJP MLA who is not accommodated in the cabinet is the new rebel on the block.

The murmurs of new BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel’s bid to emerge as a new power centre, with Yediyurappa’s bete noire and national Organisation secretary B L Santosh allegedly pulling the reins has returned to haunt Yediyurappa.
